Thank you for visiting this page on my track switcher for Lego train tracks!
This is my own design, and built track switcher for brick tracks. I wanted to come up with something to automate the switching without interrupting the run of the trains down the track with a manual switch. This design of my track switcher has some built in features like the green LED signal indicators which indicate the way the track is switched for train direction. This switcher also has adjustment capability of the switches built inside to ensure the full range of switch movement can be made on the track itself. My switcher also has power saving as the motor is on only when it needs to switch the track. Also, built into my switcher is a blue LED fault indicator for when the switcher fails to switch the track based on software settings on the controller inside the switcher. The switcher is adjustable to get the maximum switch range distance required from the track. The switcher requires no computer as it is basically plug and play. As mentioned, fine adjustments can be made to get the best performance of switching a track. My switcher has been designed to allow for building of bricks right up to the walls of the switcher to allow for users to build their style of building. It also has mounting capability of running the wires through the bottom of a surface or running the wires out of the side of the switcher so no hole cutting would be required.
